WOA Board Meeting and General Membership Meeting will be held at the upcoming WOA Winter Conference.  Both meetings will be held at the Best Western Ramkota in Casper.

Board Meeting:  Thursday, January 28th.  3:00-5:30pm

General Membership Meeting:  Saturday, January 30th.  8:00-10:00am

The CMS Medicare Attestation for 2015 EHR Submission is January 4- February 29, 2016. 



Don't forget to enroll in the AOA More Registry.  This is a free member benefit and takes only a few minutes to enroll.  By signing up for AOA MORE, even if your vendor is not yet integrated, you will satsfy the criteria of “engagement.” That allows you to claim “Specialized Registries” on MU2016.
 

2016 WOA Winter Meeting

The Wyoming Optometric Association would like to invite you to attend the 2016 Winter Conference in Casper. Come learn from experts, attain CE credits, and network with your peers. 

Agenda Highlights:

Thursday, January 28th- Join us at the Ramkota from 6:30-8:30pm.  We will have light refreshments as you visit with others. (Guests welcome)

Friday, January 29th- Don't miss the Annual WOA Awards Luncheon sponsored by OOGP. (Guests welcome- $15)

Friday, January 29th- You are invited to join us for a Casino Night!  Generously sponsored by Dishler- we will have dinner at the Tate Pumphouse along with casino games for you to try your hand at.  We will be playing with pretend dough and winning fun prizes.  Gaming is optional and there will plenty of food and fun. (Guests welcome-$25)

The Winter Conference will be held at Best Western Ramkota Hotel in Casper, WY.  Discounted rooms are available for $79.99 a night (plus tax).  Please make your own reservations.  You must call the Ramkota to make reservations:  307-266-6000 and mention the Wyoming Optometric Association.  Reservations must be made by January 10, 2016 in order to receive the discounted rate.


The CE this year includes a total of 10 hours and covers practice managment, contact lens courses, and laser gluacoma treatment.  Courses will be provided by Wells Fargo, Dr. Lampa, and Dr. Fromm.

OD AGENDA

The Para-Optometric's have 10 hours of CPC accredited courses.  Courses include glasses adjustments, cow eyeball dissection, ocular triage, and pre-testing courses.

Last week President Elect Lynda Jones and Executive Director Kari Cline attended the AOA President's Council in Albuquerque, NM.  It was two days of informative meetings, great discussion, and mexican food!  Wyoming was on the planning committee this year and Lynda helped the committee plan an excellent meeting!  She also got to be the moderator at one of the breakout sessions.  Well done!


There was also an update presented by Roger Jordan, Chair of the Federal Relations Committee.  Thanks Roger for all the time and work you dedicate to advocating for the profession of optometry on a national level.  You do Wyoming proud!
